Backups and node changes
Create Pterodactyl backups when slots exist and move to another node by backing up, deleting, and recreating.
Backup slots
A new credit Discord bot server starts with no backup slots. Add backup slots from the Resource upgrades section. Each backup slot adds 1 credit to the server’s daily cost.
Create a backup
- 1Open the Discord server management page and add at least one backup slot when needed.
- 2Open the server in Pterodactyl.
- 3Open Backups.
- 4Create a new backup and give it a clear name.
- 5Wait until the backup status is complete before downloading or restoring it.
- 6Download an important backup to your own device before deleting the server.
Move to another node
- 1Stop the bot and create a fresh backup or download all files with SFTP.
- 2Record the current startup command, environment values, and main file name.
- 3Return to the X Systems server management page.
- 4Delete the old server. The page shows any approximate unused-runtime refund before confirmation.
- 5Create a new server and choose the wanted available node.
- 6Upload or restore the files and set startup manually in Pterodactyl.
- 7Start the bot and verify the console.
Node switching disabled
Direct node switching is disabled. There is no move button for an existing credit Discord server.
Before deleting
- Download files and backups.
- Save environment values and secrets securely.
- Record package and startup settings.
- Check that the new node is available.
- Understand that deletion is permanent.
