Two-factor authentication and security
Protect login and sensitive actions with a six-digit code from an authenticator app.
Enable 2FA
- 1Open Settings and choose Security.
- 2Under Authenticator app 2FA, press Enable 2FA.
- 3Open an authenticator app on your phone or computer.
- 4Scan the QR code. If scanning is not possible, enter the shown secret manually.
- 5Enter the current six-digit code in the site form.
- 6Press Verify and enable.
After it is enabled
- A six-digit authenticator code is required after Discord login.
- Sensitive actions can ask for a fresh 2FA confirmation.
- Codes normally change every 30 seconds.
- The site accepts the current code and a small time window around it.
Disable 2FA
- 1Open Settings → Security.
- 2Find Disable 2FA.
- 3Enter the current six-digit code.
- 4Press Disable 2FA.
Protect the secret
Save the authenticator secret securely while setting up. Do not share the QR code, secret, or six-digit codes.
Code is rejected
- Wait for a new code and try once more.
- Make sure the phone or computer time is set automatically.
- Confirm you are reading the XSystems Hosting entry in the authenticator app.
- When access is completely lost, open a support ticket for account verification.
